WattFind
Privacy
How WattFind handles provider accounts, customer project enquiries, and the customer details unlocked with a purchase.
Legal entity details have not been published yet. WattFind staff can add them in Admin → Settings. No company name, address or VAT number is invented here.
What WattFind does
WattFind is a commercial opportunity marketplace for UK energy and infrastructure providers. Customers can ask WattFind to qualify a project. Providers browse marketplace-safe project information and pay to unlock customer details.
Information we hold
Provider accounts include name, email, company details, services, coverage and preferences. Customer enquiries include the organisation, contact, project description and location the customer submits. Opportunity records keep customer identity in a private record that is not on the public marketplace.
After a company pays for an opportunity, that company can read the customer contact details for that project. Other providers cannot.
How it is used
We use this information to run accounts, match projects, take payment, show purchased leads, and send operational email. Marketing email is separate and off unless a person opts in.
Public pages show technology, title, town, region, a safe summary, value or TBC, size, timescale and commercial model. They do not show organisation, contact name, email, phone, website, exact address, postcode or exact coordinates.
Third parties
Supabase stores the database and authentication. Stripe processes card payments and can issue the payment invoice. Resend sends transactional email when it is configured. Map tiles come from OpenFreeMap. Postcodes are geocoded with postcodes.io. These processors receive only what that job needs.
Retention and contact
Purchase and lead records are kept so providers and WattFind can account for access that was sold. Support and legal contact addresses are the ones published in Admin settings. If they are blank, they have not been configured yet.
This is a first draft for legal review. It is not an independent certification of compliance. Questions: see Contact.
